The SXSW Twitter feed helped many communicate with each other and even allowed for individuals to meet for the first time. Twitter as a feed reader (for more important feeds). I subscribe to nearly 150 feeds and have no systematic way of reading them ( unlike Robert Scoble ). I also did so during SMX.

One option is to then offer a free eBook, and use a service like Cloudflood to make them tweet or Facebook share it (which gets you more traffic) in order to get the download link. Implement a Feed Footer. Something a lot of bloggers could benefit from – but don’t implement – is a feed footer.

Decide on a Brandable Name Because these blogs write so much, they don’t have as many people coming to their blog via feed readers as you would expect. Can you really take in 50-60 posts every day from your favourite blog in your inbox or in Google Reader? Last year TechCrunch were a much bigger blog than Mashable.
