If you expand an event in the Events Manager Overview tab and click on the View Details button, you can click the Event Breakdown dropdown menu and filter by URLs. If you suspect that an event is over or under-counting in Ads Manager , you can come here to see where exactly the event is firing.

If you pass purchase events to Meta via the pixel and API, you may be aware of a challenge: What do you do when the value of the purchase is variable? The issue comes into play when we have to pass events manually by adding our own event code. Confirm that, but it’s likely the case. What did you do?

I love to use custom events , but this issue stumped me forever… I’ll add a custom event to a custom metric formula, and it’ll use a weird string of characters instead. It’s not just a display issue since the metric won’t calculate results. Another option is to create a custom conversion mapped to that event.

Do you have this problem with custom events ? If you create custom events, you’ll want to add them as columns to your Ads Manager. But for whatever reason, not all of the custom events you create will appear. There’s no rhyme or reason to which custom events are available and which ones aren’t.

There’s a reason you don’t see results for custom events. Next I covered that you needed to verify your event. Here’s the scenario you may run into now… You verified the custom event, which allows you to add a column for it. Events Manager shows that the events are happening but it’s not reflected in Ads Manager.
