Internet Evolution has narrowed down the list into 10 different categories, which include the most innovative and influential people in each category: Social Networking. Jimmy Wales, Founder, Wikipedia.

This does NOT have to be Not For Profits – social networks that have a “community&# feel, can also connect with the goodwill of the members and seek donations as a revenue stream. Embedded Pictures and Videos – lets you see media instead of just a link. Some UI genius has to come out with a program that integrates social network updates, chat, blogging, and micro-blogging into a small easy to use interface like Adium. Plurk introduced a comment system which helps create a conversational feel.

Kirtsy and Other Niche Social Networks. Did you know there’s a social news website catered to women called Kirtsy ? I think that where we are will continue to evolve, but we’re seeing that face-to-face connections have a role in social media marketing as well. You need to keep your current customers happy.
