A little clock icon appears in the left hand corner of the update window, and when it’s clicked, it opens up a scheduling tool that provides for future updates. Removing Trending Articles From Your Facebook Timeline

SocMed Sean

Facebook does it again! First, it was adding ads to your timeline , next it was posting articles and updates based on what your friends were doing. Now, Facebook is hijacking your timeline and inserting “Trending Articles” While I’m not positive about the source, it’s likely that Facebook monitors the articles/blog posts that your friends are clicking on and sharing and then presumes that you’ll want to see them too.

Media Relations Gone Wrong: How Not to Pitch a Journalist (Video)

Adam Sherk

The Internet and social media have certainly made it easier to conduct media relations in a more efficient and less intrusive way. At my first PR job I had to type in contact addresses from the hard-copy Bacon’s guide so we could mail merge and send out the press materials. Or stand over the fax machine feeding through one press release at at time. Being required to do cold-call follow-ups as a junior employee was one of the main reasons I gravitated toward other forms of online marketing as soo

Too Much Talk, Not Enough Action!

I’ve been often amazed at throughout my jobs how much more importance is put on talking about doing things, versus actually doing them. At one of my previous employer’s, it was incredibly common for many folks to be praised and rewarded not so much for the results they actually delivered, but the way they presented their work. Many a promotions were awarded simply because someone could put together a snazzy powerpoint about how incredible they or their team was.
