And whilst Facebook has privacy controls, I don’t fancy checking 500-odd people have the right settings in place before I post on Techcrunch. And judging by the SEOMOz toolbar’s ‘NoFollow’ indicator, the Facebook comments are followed links back to Facebook everytime. Not reward Facebook for doing nothing.

In case it isn’t obvious, Facebook wall posts are completely public to all your friends (unless you tweak your privacy settings). There’s no SEO value to these comments (they’re nofollowed by default), and all this approach does is makes you lose credibility in the eyes of the blogger. di “Quid Tum?
