Digg is great for traffic generation, and while not the powerhouse it once was, is still a large community. An article submission site in the Digg vein. Large content repositories like this and Hubpages (below) may have been devalued somewhat in Google’s most recent “Panda&# overhaul of its algorithm.

This affected anyone who used article marketing as a way to build links and drive traffic to their websites, since article networks were hit the hardest , though some—like HubPages— regained their rankings in subsequent updates. Later, social networks like Digg, Last.fm, and others were affected as well.

Submit your blog to social bookmarking sites like Digg and StumbleUpon. Create a hub about your blog on HubPages. Make it easy for your readers to share your posts by installing social bookmarking plugins like SocialMarker and Digg Buttons. Answer questions related to your niche on YahooAnswers and other Q & A sites.

Submit articles to article publishing sites like Ezine, Hubpages, etc. Submit links of interesting pages like the one above to Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Stumble Upon and other bookmarking sites. Submit website to several (50+) paid and free directories (start with Yahoo Local, Google Places, Yelp Business Pages etc).
