You can do this manually with RSS technology. And there are several good monitoring tools: Radian6, Filtrbox, Trackur, SM2 and eCairn.

You can also set up various searches from Google, Twitter, etc and run the RSS feeds from each search through Yahoo Pipes and have the resulting feed delivered to your inbox or RSS reader to monitor ongoing.

I invite everyone, I just make sure I am very careful to make sure that I segregate my client-included and client-focused conversation from the team-only discussions. So, we try to optimize our landing pages for Search, and GSC/GWT really helps us with that, especially since we don’t have the built in benefit of RSS, ATOM, or Sitemaps.
