Twitter usually scoops news outlets like CNN, and LinkedIn can open the door to your new dream job. In June, comScore reported that one out of every six minutes is spent on a social network. The newest social network de jour is Google+. Available by invite only (for now), Google+ has taken the social networking scene by storm.

My initial, abbreviated take is that Google’s new social toy is essentially a Facebook Twitter hybrid with outstanding ease-of-use and eye-popping potential. No slaving over list creation (Twitter), or slogging through the mine field of clicks and sketchy instructions for creating your own groups (Facebook).

I promptly pulled out my smart phone, went to Google and typed merely “Italian deli&# – not having to add a geographic modifier because the GPS on my phone was enabled and would automatically pull local business listings based on my current location.
