There are two benefits to developing your own community: You can learn a variety of information and viewpoints from others. Celebrate and communicate the workstreams of others. In Connectbeam employees will see bookmarks, wiki entries, blog posts, etc. Or even the occasional email pointing to the bookmark.

I was playing around with TagCrowd this morning and put in the URL for The Bamboo Project. Dont show me 10 possible wiki tools. As a theme in my life, issues of inclusion/exclusion and creating community have loomed large, so its no surprise that some of the big questions I tend to explore always come back to those themes.

Also, since Yahoo acquired del.icio.us, my guess is that MyWeb is the way Yahoo will be going since it is already integrated with other aspects of their social bookmarking. Also, I dont expect Yahoo to go away soon, where Im a bit concerned about some of the other social bookmarking, tagging tools. Do you not have a blog?

Use social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook to let people know about the contest. Build a wiki page for your blog. Make flyers with a catchy title and a description of your blog, and post them on bulletin boards in the entrance to supermarkets and other community buildings. Keep it clean and easy to navigate.
