It’s about time that I bring the dialogue here since it’s evident that I’m already starting to grow fond of the brand new social network. The Early Adopter Appeal Mixx is a new social news site that went into private beta a mere two months ago. That’s why Mixx has a lot of potential.

This is not a regular practice on the social news giant, and unfortunately, that is probably the biggest thing causing its downfall. There was only one occasion when the users were able to make a lasting impression on the social news site. It’s their community of choice and that’s fine.

That’s not really convincing social proof. Then, when you’re joining a community for the first time, you’ll need to study the users and slowly build relationships with them. This is especially true of other social networks, especially ones where you were originally untrusted.

Despite the fact that Facebook has the most customizable privacy settings of all social networks (though we could argue with their effectiveness in a whole other post), people don’t like maintaining a “business&# identity on the same profile as their “personal&# (fun?) Business social network LinkedIn. So it is not a surprise to me that LinkedIn is seeing easily the highest growth rate among social networking sites. They will have to fix this or risk really turning off their core community and fall into the, "oh, no, another annoying spammy tool" category. social networking.
