Monitoring Your Brand. There are many ways to use HootSuite to monitor your blog and personal brand. Monitor Post Retweets. For the first week (possibly two, depending on post popularity) I like to create columns to monitor my post retweets. Monitor Name Mentions. Ditto if you use Ping.fm
