Barry over at Search Engine Roundtable wrote an interesting post about Google personalization and a little-known Google feature. To make it easier, though, I have developed a Firefox Bookmarklet (a bookmark) that you can use to automatically remove the personalization from the Google search results. Often when pinning an image from a website the Pinterest bookmarklet will grab the meta tags for the page instead of the description of the image. Not only is it good SEO (Search Engine Optimization), but it allows you to suggest the description that the user will get when they pin that image. Check your meta tags. Try it for yourself.
