In this particular case the original article on the Wall Street Journal is linked to both inline and in the “Sources” section of the sidebar: Two links is good attribution; I think that qualifies as giving proper credit to the original source. But as pointed out by The Wrap, Newser does not always do this.

The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times and The Huffington Post have done the most so far with List development. If we’re truly in an era of open-source journalism, I say reporters share their access (sort of) to sources via Twitter lists. It will be interesting to see how things evolve over time.

It was something to the effect of “Would/should companies do this with big bloggers in their spaces?&# Alas, the issue is even stickier for bloggers than it is for companies. When I think about how auto companies have done PR (BIG paid trips to exotic places to test cars) paying for a post seems a bit less obtrusive.

What I mean by decent leads is that you can see if there are companies looking for people with specific skills but your resume is going to be thrown into a pile of 1000 others that may or may not get looked at even once. As a person looking for work, you need to track down the HR or hiring manager on your own to make initial contact.

It made sense, a majority of the company was based in Mass. At that point I had been in long enough not to have my feelings hurt, when you work for growing companies they have to make financial decisions that tend to lay-offs versus other measures. So this leaves me on hunt for another great company to be a part of.
