1. Post more often
If you think you (or your team) have the capacity to increase quality and quantity, go for it!
2. Post video
People watch videos. Period. (Video consumption on Instagram increased 80% year over year from 2018). Instagram likes videos! Posting videos—Live, as a Story, or IGTV—will also increase the time your audience spends on each post…leads to increased engagement.
3. Post when your audience is looking
Because the algorithm favors recent posts, brands need to pay attention to when their audiences are online.
Use Instagram Insights. It’s easy to understand. You need to have a business profile to access it.
4. Be personable
The algorithm will promote your posts to users who have a relationship with you already. So build those relationships up authentically.
Write compelling captions to drive engagement. Chat with people.
5. Use hashtags well
The purpose of a hashtag is to make your posts accessible to people who don’t follow you, but have an interest in your areas of expertise. Use hashtags well to clarify what your post is about.
6. Run a contest for a quick boost
One of the fastest legit ways to fuel up engagement! Contests take some preparation.
7. Encourage people to turn on notifications
Reminding people casually to turn on notifications to see more content from you and to engage with your posts.

Make your posts truly incredible!!! Instagram has said again and again that the only way to lift your content’s feed ranking is to produce great content!
