Social media connections are those I know through a variety of online forums, the blogosphere, Twitter, and the like (but I generally don’t befriend someone immediately; I still give it time). StumbleUpon One of my favourite time wasters and ways to find new websites, StumbleUpon, has over 10 million people who have installed their toolbar and are actively using the service. StumbleUpon can send you huge amounts of traffic. StumbleUpon is one of the most forgiving social sites.

It almost reminds me a bit of StumbleUpon. This contains sites like Analitics, Feedburner, Facebook, Digg last 7 days, Digg last 30 days, some forums, some weird blogs that don’t have RSS, stuff like that. Get your own Avatars at Gravatars. I like Seesmic for Windows, but coming from Seesmic Desktop, there are some kinks (which I expressed months ago on the Seesmic Forum powered by UserVoice) that need to be worked out, such as the ability to copy and paste and the fact that Seesmic for Windows doesn’t have sounds. I’ve had two Twitter accounts for over a year now.

That’s to say that if you use a public forum to insult, attack, or demean others on your personal time, you may find that impacting your company by association. You are attempting to post a long drawn out trolling style comment and you don’t have the balls to put your name on it, or use an avatar or a real email address.

Add an avatar and a bio at the minimum. StumbleUpon Sending more than one story to your network daily. Submitting a story from another social news site to StumbleUpon for more visibility and eyeballs. This infraction goes for all social sites that accept submissions, and not just StumbleUpon.) Not humanizing your profile.
