RIM is a technology company that has evolved (quickly) from an entrepreneurial startup into a global business, and those two entities are diametrically opposed. What do you make of the meteoric rise of the iPhone and iPad ? I would argue that it's something else: these corporate designers have figured out something that other technology and consumer electronic goods companies still struggle with: Apple , Google and Amazon have done an amazing job of removing the technology from their technology.
