You could do exactly the same this year, or you could just sit and look at your analytics stats all day and feel like other people have all of the luck. Yet, if I notice a “11,652 subscribers&# feedburner chicklet before clicking the close tab, it’s far more likely to make me stick around. Keep up the good work.

Tweak the Permalinks – Permalinks are simply the URL’s of your blog posts and pages. By default, your URL’s are setup like [link] which isn’t very pretty and doesn’t give an indication to what the page is about. Before opening the doors I like to make sure I have analytics in place.

I just check the period of the stumble, when the traffic goes ballistic, and check feedburner. I was browsing my analytics today and saw the site had 9000 visits this month. URL shortener – would that be less effective than the redirection you gave? I checked Google Analytics and found that the traffic came from Stumble.
