Blogging by teens (ages 12-17) has been cut in half - from 28 percent in 2006 to 14 percent in 2009. 71 percent of young adults prefer Facebook while 66 percent of younger teens prefer Myspace. Social networking sites (SNS). 73 percent of teens and 72 percent of Gen Y are now active on at least one SNS.

Six years ago, we were talking about the growth of blogging and MySpace. Case in point Wal-Marting Across America uses a real journalist and real photographer, and sets them up as your average Wal-Mart fans, who travel across America, park their RV at Wal-Mart parking lots and hang and blog.

The website management system flat-out beats all other blogging and even web development platforms I’ve worked with… when used correctly. I want to read blog posts or articles, not essays. There are many things it can do, from webcomics to social networks, it’s much more than just blogging software.

As Social Media gained traction, it seemed like MySpace and Facebook were just the next generation (or next iteration) of the portal - with the big difference being that it wasn't about the edited content but rather about the connections that individuals have to one another. web analytics. The study’s key findings include: 22% (108) of the primary corporations listed in the 2009 Fortune 500 have a public-facing corporate blog. 86% of these blogs (93) link directly to a corporate twitter account, a 300% increase over the 2008 study. This represents a six percent increase over the 2008 study.
