In life, there are good problems and bad. When you win the lottery, bliss may be replaced with shock when you find the change that a huge monetary prize has on your life and that of your loved ones.  After finding out that you now, there are two key action items that you need to follow.

The first thing to realize is that $800 million in lottery prizes goes uncollected each year, so that is why the very first thing that you need to do is to secure your winning ticket.

The second one is that while you may be tempted to go on a social media spree to let people that you have won the BIG ONE, you should avoid the spotlight because lottery winners immediately become targets to scam artists and thieves. Winners often are often the target of such intense harassment by family, friends, neighbors, and strangers, that the winners need to move away to maintain their anonymity and safety. This may sound a bit extreme, but keep in mind that six states (Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio, and South Carolina) have laws that require the lottery to release the name and city of residence of lottery winners.

In this infographic from Wookdbridge, find out what to do now that you have won the lottery.
