You can get Netherite scraps by mining ancient debris in the Nether and then smelting it in a furnace. Ancient debris spawns most often at Y-level 16. Here it is also advisable that you carry 2 picaxe and 1 shovel because you will encounter a lot of gravel while mining.

Step 3 – The new step here is to collect the Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template. These can now be found randomly in all Bastion remnant chests. Chances are you will be able to find at least one in the decaying stronghold of the Piglins.

Step 4 – Once you have found and obtained the Netherite Upgrade Smithing template, place it on the smithing table alongside your diamond gear or armor and the Netherite ingot. Place it into the far left slot. Place the gear in the middle and the ingot in the right slot where you have placed copper, redstone, emerald, quartz, etc.

Step 5 – The diamond gear will then upgrade to Netherite.
