Social Media Users Raved About These Innovative Gadgets In 2022

Following

We might not always trust social media influencers when they post about politics or conspiracy theories, but they do tend to uncover the latest and most innovative gadgets (even when they are not paid to do so). These products were trending on Twitter and elsewhere, and influencers posted about them constantly.

1. Ember Mug 2

I have a problem with coffee. I pour myself a mug, then it sits at my desk while I work. The Ember Mug 2 connects to an app on my phone. I can adjust the temp and keep the magic liquid warm. A quick Twitter search reveals how much everyone loves the product, which is the sequel to the popular original model.

2. Lifestraw Home Dispenser

I first heard about this product on TikTok. A user posted about how the water tastes great. A membrane microfilter removes harmful toxins and parasites. The dispenser lasts for about 264 gallons or an entire year. Social media attention (especially on TikTok) meant Lifestraw sold out of the Home Dispenser product...twice.

3. Vivint Spotlight Pro

Social media users had a blast with this product, which shines a light on someone entering your property and follows their movement. I love how you can configure the Vivint security camera to whistle at the intruder so he or she looks toward the light. Instagram users noted how you can also look through recorded clips.

4. Molecule Hybrid Mattress

I watched plenty of Instagram unboxing reels of the Molecule Hybrid Mattress, including one that has 66,000 likes. People seem to enjoy filming how the mattress expands before your eyes. This one has cooling tech that helps you sleep better, and it’s cheaper than the major store brands.

5. Yoto Player

I knew something was up when personal friends who have little kids started posting about the Yoto Player on social media. The real innovation is that there is no screen, and yet kids will love hearing stories that play from cards they can insert into the audio player.

6. Zwift Hub Smart Trainer

What’s so cool about this new bike trainer from Zwift (a company known for their virtual cycling app) is that it costs only $500. You use your own bike, then connect to a laptop or tablet to use the training app. Social media likes and comments have kept coming at a steady pace since the product announcement.

7. Acer Triton 500 SE Gaming Laptop

This powerful gaming laptop uses the latest Intel i9 processor (with up to 14 cores) and NVIDIA Geforce RTX graphics for extra realism. One social media user noted how the game Kena Bridge of Spirits looks more life-like on the laptop. The main innovation? Portability and long battery life help you stay online longer from anywhere.

8. Stihl HSA 26 Garden Shears

Martha Stewart is about as well-known as it gets when it comes to influencers. She raved about the Stihl HSA 26 Garden Shears a couple of times. The battery-powered tool fits nicely in your hand and lasts about two hours per charge.
