Twitter – Mainly focused on enhancing the speed and reach of our regular media communications, supported by additional personal profiles for our Senior Management Team. e.g. Internal or external, perceived risks etc. | CROWD MEDIA MARCH 19, 2013 Re-Imagining Schools: What we’re Learning from Online Education Communication was diverse yet logical; there was #hashtagging on Twitter and groups assigned on Facebook. Innovative leaps in technology are constantly fed to us; as we sit comfortably with the latest efficiency that makes our lives easier, another emerges and once again completely changes our mindset. INNOVATION IN THE CLASSROOM. At last, I was in control. DEPTH OF CHOICE. | | | | | | | CROWD MEDIA OCTOBER 18, 2012 Crowd Media win Guernsey’s HSBC Customer Service Award Flickr, YouTube and Twitter were also getting a considerable following, which has steadily grown since the first seeds were planted. In July 2012, we submitted our social media campaign for our client, Herm Island, for Guernsey’s HSBC Customer Service Award’s in the category of “Best use of Social Media” We were absolutely delighted to have won! This campaign began in 2009 and has continued to build a dedicated and engaged community around the tiny island of Herm in the Channel Islands. Testimonial from Jonathan Watson, Director of Hospitality, Herm Island. | CROWD MEDIA FEBRUARY 1, 2013 Social Goes Local: Jonathan Le Tocq, Deputy Chief Minister, States of Guernsey chose to use Twitter, Facebook and to a lesser degree Linked-In to promote my candidature and policy messages. had already been using Twitter since 2009 as I have journaled for years, and enjoy the discipline of the ‘micro-blog’ which Twitter provides. Twitter by a long chalk. Twitter account has also been established with links to the Facebook page. | CROWD MEDIA MARCH 18, 2013 Social Goes Local: Steve Byrne, GSPCA The GSPCA has a presence on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, Flickr, Linkedin, Pinterest and Youtube which we are active on and then we also have a presence on others. Each Each has its benefits but we find that Twitter and Facebook in particular have the most active followers. Our Linkedin, twitter and Facebook profiles are linked which helps spread messages quickly as well as updates. | CROWD MEDIA APRIL 29, 2013 SOCIAL GOES LOCAL: HERM ISLAND Twitter and Facebook are the two social platforms that have been embraced by Herm fans and followers. Facebook and Twitter see the highest interactions, but Flickr, YouTube and Pinterest all see some too. There is no doubt that Facebook is more visual, and information appeals to its audience in different ways to Twitter, but we often use similar messages on both platforms. | | | | | | | | | -
CROWD MEDIA | MONDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2012 Social Goes Local: An interview with Jersey Post We have implemented Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn so far. Twitter has been great for announcements such as the mail plane arrivals and delays, and also for announcing new products or changes to services. We have had a few customer enquires via facebook and also Twitter, but not as many as we thought we would have at the beginning. We are a lot more popular on Twitter (just hit 500 followers!!) Our ‘likes’ on Facebook have mainly come from individuals, whereas our followers on Twitter are a real mix between local businesses and media, as well as individuals. MORE >> -
CROWD MEDIA | TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2012 Social Goes Local: An interview with My Destination Guernsey My Destination Guernsey has a great online presence on Facebook and Twitter, which of these platforms do you believe has benefitted the business more? have become much more proficient with Twitter as I was a little wary at first but now I love it and use it daily and am getting new followers daily too which is great. think both Facebook and Twitter and my site all compliment each other through the use of links and they are superb platforms for reaching out to the public and gaining interest from all types of followers. Without FB and twitter this would not be possible. MORE >> -
CROWD MEDIA | MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2012 TV Hashtags – Ingenious idea or annoying phase? So I’m sure you have all noticed the latest weapon for engaging a real-time TV audience: Twitter Hashtags. It was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages. People use the hashtag symbol before a relevant keyword or phrase (no spaces) in their Tweet to categorize those Tweets and help them show more easily in Twitter Search. Chrismessina is credited with being the very first person to use a hashtag on Twitter (August 23rd 2007). It went on to be used more than 27,000 times on Twitter during the show (Aired March 2011). CROWD MEDIA | THURSDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2012 My top 5 funny tweets of the week #T5FT So I thought I’d put the amount of time I spent trawling through Twitter to some good use and make a list each week of my Top 5 Funny Tweets #T5FT. Read on with care, some are very un-traditional and many probably say more about my strange sense of humour than anything else! So obviously we start with The Queen (Parody account). Tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen, pour oneself a cup of ambition and yawn and stretch and try to come to life #reigning9to5. — Elizabeth Windsor (@Queen_UK) October 8, 2012. Much to the dislike of the other Crowd team members. MORE >> -
CROWD MEDIA | THURSDAY, MARCH 28, 2013 Social Media APPlied to the Events Industry Social platforms such as Twitter and Facebook are helping the event integrate its audience, but it also gives an audience the power to make or break an event, company or cause. These advances have extended the lifecycle of events, with the event and its audience being able to communicate before, during and after the event takes place. Before social media; target audience, attendance and feedback were separated, manual stages. Every event managers’ bezzy mate. MORE >> -
