Pornhub's tricked out VW Jetta
Pornhub, in conjunction with Pornhub Cares, the philanthropic appendage of the Pornhub empire, has transitioned from saving the bees to making sure one super-fan of the site can drive himself to work every day.
While Pornhub could have delivered Todd "The Bod" Fulkerson and his mother a pile of bus passes and a hearty slap on the back, instead they received a brand-new tricked-out 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. This wasn't some random gifting of a car to a stranger. Fulkerson and Pornhub have enough of a history together that when Fulkerson started a GoFundMe to seek help for himself and his mother Paula after his current vehicle hit the end of its life and health problems restricted his driving, Pornhub took notice.
Back in 2016, Todd The Bod was featured in a video on Pornhub's YouTube channel in which porn stars sat down and watched scenes with their biggest fans. In that video, Fulkerson sat down with his favorite actress, Alix Lynx. So it was only appropriate, a bit of porn kismet, that Lynx would be the one to deliver the good news and a brand new shiny VW Jetta loaded with track lighting, a custom stereo system and 10.1 screens in the back seat to Fulkerson and his mother. It seems like it would be a bit awkward, but as you can see in the video, it was rather touching.
"With this whole car situation it just makes it difficult to do certain things — getting to the doctor, buying groceries, etc. My life is my mom and by helping us get that car, it has made our life a lot better," said Fulkerson in the video. "It still doesn’t feel real. Not every company would do something like this. There are so many people with problems and for you guys to choose to help us is amazing."
There are so many people with problems, that's true. To the point that like Fulkerson, I too had a Buick Century die on the side of the highway. Twice. However, this was well before GoFundMe existed and porn sites were altruistic. Pornhub and its charitable, tax deductible wing Pornhub Cares have been on a pretty solid tear over the last few years, donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to charities along with handing out college grants and running social good campaigns.
We not only live in a world in which we have to turn to GoFundMe to pay medical bills, but one in which porn sites often step up to help when other businesses wouldn't bother. Pornhub has a dedicated member base and is just as dedicated to its members. While you shouldn't expect a new car just for watching porn on its site, know that Pornhub is doing what it can (statistically speaking) to helping its community thrive and survive in this messed up world.
