Welcome Direct Messages are both a useful tool and the bane of the Twitter existence. I tried their paid service and I just felt that that overall, the services were clunky and in some cases, redundant to tools I like better. For those services, I use and suggest SocialOomph. Some are free, some are part of their paid service.

Tool Tuesday: PostRank Analytics

It isn’t that we need a tool that does everything. Its that we need a tool that does what it does really well. As a blogger, there are numerous tools at your disposal to track how your content is doing. Overall, I like PostRank, its a relatively new tool so I suspect that they will continue to improve.

When people start with the tools I just want to take a book out of my Kindergarten lessons, shove my fingers in my ear and start saying “ Nah Nah Nah…I can’t hear you! Once you know where your customers are and WHY they are there, then you can start developing your tools. What do you have to offer? That’s it.
