June Social Media Trends

As June comes to a close we’re ready to celebrate the first days of summer and lots of social firsts. Let’s jump into the June Social Media Trends!

Facebook Trims the Fat

Facebook recently announced they will be removing several info sections from its business pages. Mission, Company Overview, Biography and Personal Interests are among those being cut. While this may seem like a crazy move it may prove better for brands who tend to use the same language for these sections. While reassessing their content brands have an opportunity to say who they are and what they do in one section.

Instagram is the Epitome of Redefinition

Instagram is simply showing out this year! This Blog Post explores all the new firsts happening on the Gram.  From the ability to sort followers from oldest to newest to the possibility of creating karaoke-esque music videos. Being able to connect with your oldest supporters separate from the most recent will allow brands to connect differently to 2 unique groups. Who doesn’t want Karaoke in the palm of their hands? Be sure to sign up for our bi-weekly Social You Should Know email updates so you’ll be ready to belt out your fave hits for the world to hear.

Is Twitter Old News?

Hearing about a 9% decrease in active users begs the question, Is Twitter Dying? Not so says Twitter! The numbers represent a decline in monthly active users after the elimination spam and bot accounts. To report a more accurate representation Twitter will now be measuring their daily active users instead which has shown a 9% increase. Not to mention 2018’s Q4 ad revenue saw a 23% increase, so looks like Twitter is here to stay.
