[Social Media] Why Facebook’s New Publishing Tool is a Threat to Twitter
Facebook is already the highest traffic-sending social media site out there, but those numbers are misleading. They are banking on major media outlets to pay them for more exposure. If they can take dollars from publishers, television, and other media outlets, it could hurt Twitter in their bread and butter business. If they can take over media promotions as well, Twitter might be left with a big chunk of their advertising dollars (as well as their hopes for the future) heading to their nemesis. [Social Media] Collaborative Production, Consumption, or Destruction?
Social Media provides an astonishing tool for a new form of social organization if and only if it can be used to beat the effects of collaborative destruction. Many important ideas are emerging related to collaborative consumption and the sharing of physical assets.   The primary idea is that communities can save money and conserve natural resources. The most powerful byproduct of collaborative consumption, in my opinion, is that communities can organize around physical assets to produce what they actually need, not what they are told to need. Collaborative Production.

Early on – with little expendable budget – done thanks to great content and great social media and outreach skills. The most basic element of going viral is ensuring that your content has easy pass through via clearly visible social sharing icons. It’s common sense why trending content gets higher click-through rates on social media; that’s the content people are interested in. In my opinion, longer posts tend to get more social media shares simply because the more verbose posts have an opportunity to offer more value to the readers.

Well, my thinking has evolved (dramatically) as Social Media and other digital marketing platforms have begun to take hold.
