Moving forward, online credibility will come from major initiatives like xPotomac , novels, books, photos, events and certain social networks. There is one exception, and that would be if I were to start blogging about social media marketing again three or four times a week. Frankly, I struggle writing one or two social media posts a week on the Vocus blog and here. 'Despite my post a few weeks ago expressing my desire to stop the selfie movement , these pictures will not stop spreading like wildfire. What is new is that social media and the internet in general has enabled a playground of exhibitionism that far-exceeds anything that previous generations had. Kids are judged based upon their actions and willingness to post these actions on Facebook, Twitter, and other social sites, bragging to their friends about their “accomplishments” Unfortunately, the accomplishments often gravitate around how crazy and reckless they act in this “one” life. Let’s take my Christian views out of this for a moment. Young people are often reckless enough.
