    More importantly I’ve started the shift away from social media to more business coaching. While I will always offer social media services, they will soon no longer be the major income earner of the business. am doing what I do because it is a spiritual calling, as well as a social calling. I haven’t written much on this blog lately. Part of it is simple: My wife is on her break and since she usually works 60-80 hour work weeks my priorities are naturally oriented toward getting time with her.     'There’s a story in the Washington Post that blames the death of iGoogle, the personalized homepage that Google created but didn’t really tell anyone about, on social media in general. iGoogle did not fall victim to Facebook, Twitter, or any of the other social sites because it didn’t compete with them.     As much as I have enjoyed Digg over the years, it is officially no longer relevant as a social news site.  The concept that socialmedia&# can be pictures, videos, podcasts, or articles is great, but what I witnessed tonight was both enjoyable and sad. The enjoyable part was that it is raw, clever, and something perfect for this age of YouTube and Flickr where people can be bold and become stars by doing odd things.  In this case, it worked (for now).  It will probably break 10k.  They’re all fun.

    Semantic data, smaller screens, texting, social media, short videos, network update streams, augment reality, and more continue to evolve the way we receive information from both new and traditional email. Their media information environment is dramatically different than the childhood we remember so fondly. Currently, there is much concern about literacy, and the state of language with texting and short form media.
