    It’s an existential question because I am ‘the marketer who went off consumption’, turned my back on mass (lowest common denominator) media and traditional (inside-out, push-based, interruption-driven) marketing, and refused to see people as single-dimensional consumers who have only one reason to exist: consume more. wanted to do marketing that was built around outside-in social heartbeats instead of inside-out brand messages, based on pull instead of push, driven by permission instead of interruption.
