Certainly, it’s not a comprehensive influence formula like Klout , or other Twitter-influence arbiters ( interesting study this week from Sysomos ), but it’s easy to calculate, and I think it makes sense. So, I’ve started to look at followers per tweet as a metric that focuses on the efficiency of time spent.

To be fair, I’ve only included those I’ve actually used (Radian6, Sysomos, Spiral 16) or tested (Meltwater, SM2). However, many of the tools I mentioned above, Radian 6, Sysomos, etc, have a management/response component included in their workflow model. Also, thanks for having Sysomos in your comparison.

Twitter’s role as a conduit for the Zeitgeist is unrivaled, and it has almost single-handedly ushered in the era of real-time search, and social CRM. Since then,023% of all Tweets include location data, according to Sysomos. Not an overwhelming participation rate. I love Twitter. It enriches my life every day.
