Whether you're writing to persuade, to inform, or entertain, nearly every word choice affects the meaning of your message. A couple years ago I wrote a competitive response for internal use.

Intro to Foursquare, Brightkite & Location-Based Social Media

Foursquare is available for iPhone and Android , and can also be managed via SMS. Tighter validation would prevent some of this, but I’m not sure it matters that much to the people who manage Foursquare. I’ve never heard of Brightkite cheating. Augmented reality and location-based services are two hot trends to watch.
