The sound came out fairly well and there were a lot of talking points, including the cost of 3 cents, average for SMS messages and putting in a mobile call to action will lead to larger lists (of potential voters).

[SMS] Mobile is not ‘new’ media any more
Many forces were working to make available inventory that could work across platforms – voice, SMS, WAP and video can be contextually targeted with simple interactive tools. The biggest opportunity for an advertiser is SMS and voice. While there are only 14-20 per cent users for mobile content, the penetration of SMS is 90 per cent and that of voice, 100 per cent. If the joke that people engage more with their mobile phones than they do with their spouses is indeed true, then it’s good news for the medium, especially where advertising is concerned.

think the teen market needs to be convinced more of the value of twitter over SMS or Facebook updates. The most recent numbers from Nielsen indicate that Twitter grew 1,382% year-over-year, registering a total of just more than 7 million unique visitors in the US. Not only is that huge growth in one year, but in one month like in January, Twitter.com clocked 4.5 million unique visitors in the US, meaning the service grew by more than 50 percent month-over-month. But can that Growth be sustained? It is hard to imagine that any technology could sustain that kind of growth.

But there is also a new wave of interest and excitement in SMS as more people design more applications that make use of text. Job seekers can register via SMS with Souktel, and then, through a series of text messages, enter details about themselves into the system.

    [SMS] Burrp Delhi
Log on to burrp Delhi and read the review and send the restaurant details to your uncle right on his phone using Burrp’s SMS feature. what will be good is if they can integrate it with other things, for e.g. the sms you mentioned, or perhaps forum etc, though i am not sure the audience is large enough for these. Home About In the Media Customer Service : Sorry what’s that ? [SMS] Twitter to Offer Deals with Earlybird
With only two tweets on the site (one of them says “ Send “follow earlybird&# to 40404 to receive each deal via SMS. I’m a big fan of group coupon networks, deals and discounts offered through Twitter. In these times what’s not to love about buying a coupon for a dinner at 40 or 50% of it’s market value? It’s a win for the vendor too because they get new faces in the door and most times we spend more than the coupon. Sometimes I even forget I bought it and the money I spent stays in the pocket of the vendor. guess the investors are buying it too!
