It is also known as “cyber bullying,” “electronic bullying,” “e-bullying,” “sms bullying,” “mobile bullying,” “online bullying,” “digital bullying,” or “Internet bullying.”   According to StopBullying.Gov  cyber bullying can take form as “mean text messages or emails, rumors sent by email or posted on social networking sites, and embarrassing pictures, videos, websites, or fake profiles.” The surrounding outrage led me to imagine how the transition to college will be for high school student Alexis Carter.  All of these issues are still relevant in 2014.

[SMS] Hindustan Times Story: “Social” is About Both the Medium and the Message
There is a reluctance to get on to the SMS in the West – in the US and Europe – but the Asia-Pacific region is using social networking sites more vigorously for marketing,&# said Deepak Mukharji, country head-corporate affairs of Shell Group of Companies. I was quoted recently in a Hindustan Times story on social media marketing in India. So, if brands wish to connect with their consumers, they need to re-evaluate both the medium and the message. By the way, I am endlessly amused by how journalists tend to attribute a quote to me with statistics I have never seen before!
