Email is by far the most acceptable due in part to the channel’s familiarity, flexibility and universality with 91% using it on a daily basis.

[SMS] Free Webinar on Understanding the Social Customer
She is connected to her social and professional circles via phone, email, SMS, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and forums. A few weeks ago Chess Media Group, Attensity, and Mitch Lieberman teamed up to write a whitepaper on the social customer.  You can still download the whitepaper for free if you sell us your soul and name your first born after our company…Chess.  Kidding, kidding!  The whitepaper is free and all you have to do is enter in your email and 2-3 other things (but let’s be honest naming your kid Chess would rock!). Who is the social customer?

[SMS] How to Make $5k from Skype (and Possibly a Whole Lot More)
Maybe it is a Gen-Y thing but given a choice between a phone call and a text message, I’d much rather send a quick SMS. And given a choice between an SMS and an email I’d rather send the email. Note from Glen : This is post by Ramsay, who was recently introduced as a new member of the ViperChill team. Last month I made an extra $5,000 by jumping on the phone with a long-term email client to close a deal. And at that moment I had an important business realization: I’d forgotten something vital. And it might make you a lot of cash. Let’s get started.

The film is about Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and how the popular social networking site got its start. Many have called the trailer "dark" and even "creepy." What do you think? Will you see the film? Seriously? Anyway I already say "skip" it just from seeing the preview.

[SMS] Freemium Revenues: Social Media Business Podcast
The other freemium services I spoke about on the podcast are Skype : free calls on mobile and on computer – but pay for voicemail and SMS. We look at Freemium revenue in social networks and online communities including asking that: if freemium is the business model of giving it all (or most) of the services away for free , how can you then charge for it? And what is free stuff anyway – marketing? advertising? mugs game?  If you offer some services at a paid-for premium, which ones should you choose to monetize? or subscribe via RSS (video) or RSS (audio). Too weird.

[SMS] How to Use IFTTT to Automate Search Engine Optimization Tasks
Ifttt works with many platforms / channels, and even has the ability to send a message to your phone or SMS device. If you have ever worked with an auto scheduler for tweeting , you know how useful they are. Its great to be able to schedule automated tweets to be tweeted at various times during the day, or week without having to be there to tweet the messages. If this, then that. It would be nice to have something set up so that upon a certain action happening, another action takes place. Now, you no longer have to wait for this type of experience, since there is Ifttt.
