    Internet households, 75% visited a social networking site in May 2010, according to Nielsen. A new client asked me to attend a meeting with their marketing agency who was advising them on media buys. The client was a medium size business involved in a unique medical practice  and had just opened a new office. They wanted to raise market awareness of their practice and presence as well as “ pull&# prospects to their practice. The agency highlighted the demographics of the radio and television stations they recommended as well as the time slots for the ads and frequency.

    The growth in online video has been significant:  Nielsen released some interesting numbers in May 09 that showed Web and mobile video watching were experiencing skyrocketing growth.     NM Incite is a leading social media consumer insights provider and joint venture between Nielsen and McKinsey. In a recent study by NM Incite, it was revealed that Hispanic social media users are 21% more likely than the average U.S. social media user to use social media for customer care and customer service.
