The Irony: MySpace Okay, so in my previous paragraph, I mention that you should be an early adopter of social networks. However, I joined MySpace in 2006 to network with individuals who refused to use Facebook and to return to my liberal ways of accepting a lot more friend requests than I normally would. > click.

Besides major usability issues , duplicate stories submissions , and ads that literally scream at you , Digg has yet another issue to deal with: privacy. Plus, the privacy is only one way (incoming only). I was responding to Kelly who says that the privacy is still one way. Your friends can see them.

Just because my work includes strong involvement with social media doesn’t mean that I need to let everyone into my personal life… or for that matter… open my privacy so you can see all my posts. I kind of have an “old school&# approach but I also respect my privacy. Great post. Answers Yahoo!

Do they feel they’re getting their money’s worth (especially because sites like Digg and MySpace may not be)? There was a lot more uproar over the news feed from more users than there was with Beacon and it was primarily a concern about privacy. Zuckerberg : It’s really about privacy and trust.

Take MySpace as just one of many examples of an online property that become too comfortable with its “space.&# it has a bit to do with privacy concerns in my opinion. i feel like many of them had 5x the amount of friends on myspace than they do on facebook.
