My settings page on the my6sense Chrome extension But what about the deployment? Paladin My6sense Work Chrome Browser | LOUIS GRAY OCTOBER 14, 2010 my6sense for Android Adds Instapaper, Replies, DMs, More I would be remiss to not highlight the continued updates the my6sense team has made to the company's Android application, aimed to surface the best content for you from your news and social streams, based on your own interests. When my6sense first debuted, the application was focused on RSS, and many folks still believe that's what the app is all about. | | | | | | | LOUIS GRAY FEBRUARY 7, 2011 knowabout.it: For The Links You Might Have Missed Even the most focused among us can't get to every great link that gets passed to us from friends, which is why the "news will find me" strategy of years past simply doesn't pass muster any more. Top links came from Marshall Kirkpatrick about predictions from Quora and Akula talking about more engineering heads at Microsoft, as well as a Hacker News article on Twitter's onboarding process. | LOUIS GRAY AUGUST 31, 2010 The Five Stages of Filtering, Relevance and Curation Tonight's news of Gmail taking on information overload directly, using a combination of intelligent algorithms and your own feedback to build in box personalization is yet another hallmark move to taking on the increasing deluge of content approaching us from all directions - be it our e-mail, static Web pages, audio and video, or the many different social streams which we have subscribed to. Examples: Amazon.com , my6sense. Disclosures: I am vice president of marketing at my6sense. First, the argument that people prefer to associate with like-minded individuals and listen, read and watch news and commentary that agrees with their worldview is pretty well accepted. | LOUIS GRAY AUGUST 24, 2010 Why My6sense: Right Time, Right Place, Right Context After a post talking about the "Me Me Me" portion of social media, it seems only right to follow up and talk about news with me. As you may know from my previous coverage of my6sense, the company has an iPhone application today that prioritizes content from your subscriptions and social streams, based on your own behavior, automatically. fear it is only going to get worse. | | | | | | | | | -
LOUIS GRAY | SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2010 The Third Wave of the Web Will Be Uniquely Personal Now, we connect to people and follow or friend one another the way we once searched for keywords and news listings. Similarly, our location is an ingredient of who we are - for where we are impacts our decisions, and what tips are relevant, be it for news, for restaurants, lodging, dating or anything else. my6sense: Personalized Streams for Me on my Mobile Personal As In Me. Of course, my6sense is one of those companies. You've heard me talk about my6sense for some time - discovering your "Digital intuition". The gist? Plaxo connected your offline Rolodex. MORE >> -
LOUIS GRAY | THURSDAY, AUGUST 18, 2011 Google+ 1 More: I'm Joining Google Monday In the world of tech, you can make the news or you can break the news. Behind the scenes, often with less fanfare, in my various roles with my6sense , Paladin , BlueArc , and other companies, I've worked closely with and learned from some of the top people in the Valley and beyond. Joining Google, a company greater than 100 times larger than anywhere I have ever worked, about 3,000 times larger than my6sense, and 10,000 times larger than Paladin, is daunting, and will bring its own challenges. LOUIS GRAY | TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2010 The Future of Search: Personal, Persistent and Implicit While some may think this is Google over-reaching its boundaries and extending its view into every step of our waking lives, it's not evil that is seen here, but instead evolution, the same evolution that is the future of products like my6sense. You may have a persistent explicit search on your name or your company, and every time Google News has a positive hit, you get an update. It's very close to the language I've seen Barak Hachamov of my6sense use when he and I discuss the future of the apps and the API. Tags: Search mobile My6sense Google What do I mean? MORE >> -
LOUIS GRAY | TUESDAY, AUGUST 3, 2010 KeyTweet Finds Most Relevant Links for You From Twitter As Twitter has become a prominent place to share links and point followers to news and sites of interest, new services have arisen to find the best of what you may have missed. KeyTweet, like Cadmus and My6sense's offerings before it, aims to find a relevancy filter for Twitter, to surface important updates and hide the more trivial. Tweets shown in Keytweet are organized not in chronological order, but in order of importance - just as my6sense has done for the iPhone. Disclosure : my6sense is a client of Paladin Advisors Group, where I am Managing Editor of New Media. MORE >> -
LOUIS GRAY | THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2010 Cadmus Introduces API for Tweet Relevance In addition to my6sense , which you've no doubt heard a lot about from me on this week and last, one of the more interesting players in this space is The Cadmus. The Cadmus At Work in TweetAgora, Tapping Their New API If this sounds a lot like what my6sense is doing - that's because it is! my6sense introduced an attention API earlier this March at the DEMO conference , letting partners order all streams, from RSS to Twitter and Facebook, by relevance. You just might hear about some of their news tonight during an event with Seesmic. MORE >> -
