SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING Everything You Need to Know About Google+
| TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2011
In case you're coming out from the rock you've been living under for the summer, Google+ arrived on our digital doorsteps in early July - but only for limited field testing. Yesterday, it was announced that Google+ had finally been released as a public beta, meaning that you no longer require an invitation to join the network. The announcement was certainly strategically timed, with Facebook's f8 developers conference scheduled for Thursday - so strategic that Facebook itself made a few announcements early. As it slowly and deliberately expanded, it kept growing from the inside out. MORE >>
FIREBELLY Content Marketing is More Than Just Blogging
| THURSDAY, AUGUST 23, 2012
Find photos from Flickr or Picasa
— be sure to use Creative Commons photos — or buy royalty-free stock photography, and put them in your blog posts for added impact. And since most people are going to be listening to the podcasts on their mobile
phones, it’s not like you have to appeal to the audio snobs by spending tens of thousands of dollars on a studio mic. Content marketing is about more than just blogging. LOUIS GRAY Tackling My Biggest Impediments to Cloud-centricity
| SUNDAY, MAY 15, 2011
More and more of my activity , both in desktop and mobile
computing, is cloud-based. With Google Music and Picasa
offering options to upload all this content to the cloud, I know I'm just a few painful uploads away from finally migrating (once I get a new battery and charge the sucker). More Web services are replacing desktop applications, while activities that used to be the focus of local storage (including photos, music, video and email) are being delivered from the Web instead. Some got posted online and others not. But in practice, these migrations take time. MORE >>
