OpenSocial Support. Wordpress has plugins, but Google uses the standardized OpenSocial API , along with Google Gadgets , to provide an interface to Widgets and other features within the blog. To code a customized feature, I just need to know a little OpenSocial (which works with many other sites), and boom! It's proprietary.
