Twitter Launches New Notifications Options, Quality Filter
Users will now be able to limit their notifications so they only receive notifications related to users they follow.
Twitter introduced new notifications options for users.
To start, users will now be able to limit their notifications so they only receive notifications related to users they follow. This setting applies to notifications on both mobile and the web. In addition, mobile users can now manage their notifications settings directly from the notifications tab in the app.

Elsewhere, Twitter is rolling out a “quality filter” option, which will allow users to filter “lower-quality content” from their notifications and “other parts of [their] Twitter experience.”
Twitter explained the quality filter in a blog post:
Last year we began testing a quality filter setting and we’re now rolling out a feature for everyone.
