When you click the “Post comment as&# link for the first time, a window pops up prompting you to either authenticate your comment with your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, or OpenID accounts — or to choose none of the above and use your Livefyre account instead. Unfortunately, large scale adoption of PLEs in formal academic environments will be stifled until the process of implementation can be duplicated (to ensure quality) and control points (in to form of metrics) exist for funding bodies and other stakeholders (like parents).
