Meet The New Logan Paul

Meet the new Logan Paul. He is no longer involved in a new scandal every week. He’s grown up.

Logan Paul said, “After all the stuff that I’ve been through, I’m trying to rebuild my brand and be true to who I am, and be authentic, and make the truest, realest content that I can.”

His new podcast, Impaulsive, shows a different side of him. The show is a little bit TMZ, focusing on influencer gossip and humor, but it’s also like the Joe Rogan podcast because he often has older, more diverse guests.

Paul said, “We just had Eric Weinstein on the other day. He’s one of the five smartest people in the world. We are by far the most versatile podcast online. I don’t think that could be contested.”

Logan Paul can be polarizing, but whatever your thoughts about him are, you can’t deny his success. He has conquered every social media platform, from Vine to YouTube.

He said, “I’m blessed to be curious about things. I think that’s the reason that I’ve been able to hop platforms so well. It’s like, ‘How can I reverse engineer what it takes to gain followers on a platform?’ And I’m curious about how it works. And I’m the same way with people. I’m curious about what makes them tick. And that’s my rule with guests. I need to be intrigued with them.”

Paul continued, “With the podcast, we needed to figure out what makes us special. What makes people want to listen? There are so many funny guys, like Theo Vonn or Joe Rogan, making really entertaining podcasts. There is so much value in a Joe Rogan podcast. And we know that we can provide a lot of value. We can provide entertainment. So, our niche is that we do both. You’ll leave knowing a couple of new things that could possibly change your life. But it’s easy to watch because it’s snackable. It’s easy to listen to.”

The Impaulsive podcast is now 100 episodes in and they are still without a sponsor. It’s something that Logan Paul is O.K. with. He has invested his own money into building an incredible studio in his home, complete with recording equipment, lighting and cameras. He also has to pay his editors and cameramen.

He said, “That’s what I do with a lot of my money. I put it back into the business. Plus, I don’t want to take on a sponsor that I don’t 100% believe in.”

It might be that faith in himself that has made him successful ever since he started making videos on Vine. Paul said,“ I started on Vine, then I moved to Instagram and Facebook. And, by the way, I still have 16 million likes on Facebook and I don’t even use it anymore. And then I hopped to YouTube. And with each one, I’ve completely decimated everything in my path. And I’m not there yet, with the podcast, because it’s a much different format that I’m still mastering. But I’ve just been blessed with the passion to conquer the thing that I’m doing. I love being the best at the thing that I’m doing.”

When I asked him the reason for his success, Paul said, “It’s authenticity man. I’ve never failed to be real; sometimes too real. I connect with my audience on a very relatable level. I’m a kid from Ohio. I don’t have a chip on my shoulder. When I see fans on the street, I ask them about themselves. I ask them what’s going on with them. That’s important to me.”

Logan Paul is well on his way to conquering the podcast medium as well. He averages 1.05 million views per podcast episode. He also has 1.6 million subscribers to his Impaulsive YouTube channel.

As he continues to evolve, and be more authentic, who knows where he’ll end up next.

But his fans shouldn’t worry that Logan will abandon the wild behavior that got him started. He just threw a $60,000 birthday party, he challenged all YouTubers to a race for $100,000 and he’s preparing for his next boxing match.

He’s growing up, but he’s still a 24-year-old guy with millions of dollars. He’s not Larry King. He’s Logan Paul. And that’s O.K.
