When I personally want to engage with a company/professional, I typically follow on Twitter, sometimes Facebook at a later date (if I love their content), then ultimately email updates if available. I find it to be especially valuable and hassle-free for updating Twitter, Facebook, and LInkedin simultaneously. Linkedin Similarly, the Linkedin iPhone app has made major strides, and I find myself rarely using Linkedin via a computer any longer. Twitter Tweetdeck I use Tweetdeck for serious twitter sessions.
