One of the most common questions I get is concerning the tools I use. I’ve written on this topic before , but it’s been two years since the last time I’ve discussed the tools I use. I still use some of those tools, but some I don’t and I’m using several more now. I use a lot of tools.

Pierre’s Wordspew works without AJax, but it also uses a Flash.flv file that prevents it from working on devices like the iPad and iPhone. An excellent plugin for this is WP-UserOnline , which provides several templates for easy configuration of how and where the user-online count is displayed. Show online users. Social media.
