Step 1: First find Home and Power button, usually Home button is located below the iPad display and power button is located on the top of the iPad which is an oval shaped button. In case you are using a new version of iPad Pro, which does not have a Home button then you have to look for a volume button.

Step 2: Open the screen of which you want to take a screenshot. For iPads having Home buttons simply press the top button and then tap Home button and then release them. For iPads not having Home button press Top button and then press Volume up button and then release them. Your screen will blink and screenshot is captured.

Step 3: The screenshot will be saved on your iPad in the Photos app.

How to take Screenshot on iPad using AssistiveTouch

Another simple method of taking screenshots on iPad is using AssistiveTouch. AssistiveTouch is used to use multi-finger gestures, restart the device, adjust volume, lock the screen, or replace pressing buttons with just a tap.

To use AssistiveTouch you have to first enable it using the different ways mentioned below:

Way 1: Go to Settings then go to Accessibility then Touch, then select AssistiveTouch.

Way 2: Say “Turn on AssistiveTouch” To Siri.

Way 3: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut and turn on AssistiveTouch.

Once AssistiveTouch is active you can take screenshots.

Step 1: Tap the AssistiveTouch button.

Step 2: Now tap one Device and tap on More.

Step 3: Now Tap on Screenshot. Your screenshot is captured and it will be saved in the Photos.

How to take Screenshot using Apple Pencil on iPad

Apple has the tendency to add features that users do not know about. One great feature is that you can take screenshots using an apple pencil. You can also use Apple Pencil to take screenshots of webpages and make them into PDFs.
