Two weeks ago, I received a Klout Perk to be part of the Social 46, a gathering of Indiana’s top social media influencers. According to the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee , Klout was used to help identify the participants, and the list was augmented manually with known local bloggers, gadflies, and connectors.

Hawaii is celebrating its 50th year as a state this year, the Weiner mobile started in 1936, making the Weinermobile the older of the two. Oscar Meyer’s stunt is perhaps the oldest and longest running mobile marketing campaign in the country. Surely hosting this American icon over such a venerable holiday is an honor.

Big news last week as Klout announced a significant overhaul of its influencer identification platform. The most notable changes are: An increase in ranking factors from approximately 100 to 400, meaning there are vastly more activity and behavior types comprising your Klout score. Nobody has evenly distributed influence.
