A couple of weeks ago, I co-hosted the monthly #PRSSA Twitter chat. That’s the hashtag commonly-used by PRSSA (the Public Relations Student Society of America). One of ’em was even doing a Storify of the chat as we co-hosted it – LIVE! These kids don’t mess around.

According to the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee , Klout was used to help identify the participants, and the list was augmented manually with known local bloggers, gadflies, and connectors. Former reporter, now PR guy Tom Spalding is chronicling the blow-by-blow with regular Storify collections from the Social 46 trenches.

Hosting a Twitter chat is a great way to engage your current followers as well as attract new ones. First, come up with a branded hashtag for people to use when Tweeting about your chat. Then enter that hashtag into Tchat to see conversations going on in real time and engage. Rather, use T.U.N.S. Try T.U.N.S. does just that.
