Survey: Pinterest a Great Source of Links for Publishers. What Types of Sites Get the Most Links?

For reasons of client confidentially I am not able to reveal the specific sites but they are all well-known brands from major publishers.

Mobile Visits Account for 40% of All Traffic for Publishers

On average, for the past six months (May-October 2014) mobile visits accounted for 40% of total site traffic for this group. Sports 38%. But if you have a SimilarWeb PRO subscription you can pull this data for any site. Here’s a breakdown by percentile. Less than 20% 0. Entertainment 52%. Health 50%. Fashion and Beauty 42%.

The Hot Searches on Google Trends tend to be dominated by topics like sports, politics and entertainment with frequent breaking news and stories that attract a lot of attention.
