That’s even more true in a social network whose users are often less web savvy and thrown by major UI changes as well as concerned about privacy issues. On Twitter today Myspace is trending, not because it’s about Myspace but because people are suggesting Facebook is doomed to the same fate as Myspace.

While everyone’s talking about Google Plus being some type of game-changer well before it’s even had wide release, many are already asking if it’s going to be the Facebook killer. After all, when Facebook came out, Myspace was the preferred social media forum and, in the space of a few years, it took over.

When I started Ignite Social Media in 2007, the battle between MySpace and Facebook still raged and Friendster was hanging on for dear life. For years, new networks like Plurk, Jaiku, Google Wave and others came and went. Like Signal, MeWe dedicates itself to privacy and security.

The Irony: MySpace Okay, so in my previous paragraph, I mention that you should be an early adopter of social networks. However, I joined MySpace in 2006 to network with individuals who refused to use Facebook and to return to my liberal ways of accepting a lot more friend requests than I normally would. > click.

A few days ago I made some comparisons between Google+ and Facebook. Specifically, I talked about how Google+ has built in privacy features that Facebook doesn’t and how that could change the social media game. But lately I’ve heard some comparisons between Google+ and Twitter. Remember MySpace?

As a side note, this is why I love Google+. Almost every update happens within Google+ itself meaning if you comment on something, the person might actually be there to answer you vs. someone who just auto updates to update and not to engage.
