I was thinking Netvibes but wondered if you have another option? about iGoogle shutting down – if Google can’t find it on the ‘net, nobody can – but I’m sure there are services nearly as good. By the way, Google, the classrooms don’t always have Chrome, and it’s not a mobile course.

Couple of days ago, I leaned over someones shoulder and had her set up google reader, load in several blogs, and use google blog search. Only took a few minutes. Now they’re offering a direct sync with Google (beta) if you’re a premium user (read, give them money, currently just under US $60 a year). Instead of waiting around for Google to catch up, you can see what is happening on your website, right now. There used to be a free plan that comes with Crazy Egg but the cheapest option now is $9 per month.

After Google Reader closed, I started using Feedly but recently switched to Netvibes in favour of their iGoogle style RSS reader – either are solid RSS readers that will help you keep on top of things. . Do a similar thing with Google+ and Facebook too. Commenting works wonders. Drop them an email.
