If you're an avid Google Reader user like me, you are well aware of the recent changes Google Reader made to their interface, removing the ability to share news with friends, and as a result, killing the means for over 1,500 of you to receive relevant tech news updates from me. However, I'm finding other ways, without Google Reader, to still get you the news you need.

There aren’t too many great social networking apps for the iPad, but I have found a select few that I find myself using on a regular basis. Friendly For Facebook (free) – I can’t believe that Facebook has not created an iPad app yet, but in the meantime, Friendly does a great job of providing a nice user interface that is still better then the browser experience. Synchs with Google Reader which is a major plus and easy to share articles to your networks. Bonus Shout Out: Just launched yesterday, the Bing iPad app is crazy good. Apple Social Media
