Now that Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr are out ahead as the major social networks, it becomes harder to debate social platforms, though it definitely still occurs, especially with location-based platforms. A day doesn’t go by that I don’t read a conversation online debating WordPress, Tumblr and Posterous.

Among the services that Klout now tracks are: Tumblr – A blogging platform somewhat like a cross between Twitter and Blogger. Flickr – The photo sharing platform. YouTube – The video sharing monolith owned by Google. Blogger – Which needs no introduction. Instagram - A photo sharing site for the iPhone.

Between Twitter, Flickr, YouTube and all their various incarnations there’s a growing number of social media outlets to utilize for bloggers as well as professional and amateur journalists alike. Which is where Storify comes in to simplify the process. Lucky for us, they made a video which simplifies the process.

If you can’t convey new ideas on your blog, then you probably won’t get a lot of traffic… But Twitter is not good for fleshed-out ideas. Way better than, say, Twitter. Any questions?

2005: Flickr. Do I want to treat Flickr as a serious base for showcasing my photographic works? Another friend, Dinnertube , started posting videos on Youtube in 2006.
